Some places grow, transform, and improve – without ever losing their essence. Wellness Hotel Dolomia is one of them. Our story is built on passion, hospitality, and continuous evolution, always with one goal in mind: to offer you an authentic experience, full of warmth and wellbeing.
It all began when Grandfather Rocco, a carabinieri officer, was transferred from Liguria to Vigo di Fassa. There, he met Grandmother Carla—and amidst the mountains, a love was born that would last a lifetime. They married, made their home in Val di Fassa, and started what would become a long family tale of hospitality, passion, and togetherness.
A dream takes shape. With their love of cooking and warm-hearted hospitality, Rocco and Carla opened Sayonara – a small hotel with a restaurant. Here, they welcomed travellers and mountain lovers, serving traditional local dishes in a homely atmosphere where every guest felt part of the family.
Their spirit of welcome expanded into new leisure opportunities. During these years, a tennis court and a bocce court were added next to the hotel – spaces designed for guests to relax, play and spend time together in the fresh mountain air, with the Dolomites as the perfect backdrop.
The hotel grew alongside its guests. With the support of Rocco and Carla's five children, the property expanded and became Park Hotel Sayonara, featuring new rooms and a larger restaurant. The family warmth remained unchanged, while the spaces became more modern and inviting. That same year, their eldest son Stefano married Tiziana – marking the start of a new chapter in the hotel's story, ever more closely woven into the family's life.
A new chapter of wellbeing began. Stefano and Tiziana launched a new project focused on rest and self-care, creating the intimate and welcoming SPA Majes, complete with Finnish sauna, sensory showers, hot tub and other wellness areas. A stay at Sayonara became more than just a holiday – it was now a profoundly rejuvenating experience in the heart of the Dolomites.
The family dream takes a new step forward. Stefano and Tiziana, now joined by their children Paolo, Noemi and Vanessa, brought a fresh, modern vision to the project. Wellness Hotel Dolomia was born, featuring an expanded SPA Majes, new rooms with an alpine design and carefully curated services to offer an even more authentic, warm and wellness-focused stay.
